A Taste of History Rich in regional history, the Venango Valley Inn & Golf Course offers diners a choice of two fine-dining settings. In the original, circa-1838 Federal-style brick clubhouse, three small dining rooms provide a charming, cozy ambiance, with their "Williamsburg" colonial décor, period-piece antiques, fireplaces and chandeliers. A more casual-feeling dining area is offered in an adjacent, newer addition to the clubhouse. Seating 100, with a décor of brick and knotty pine, its many windows provide a panoramic golf-course view. Friendly, efficient service is assured, and at Venango Valley, diners frequently offer their compliments to both the talented kitchen and wait staffs. Begin your fine-dining experience with a zesty appetizer like Quesadillas or Crab Cakes. Or for lighter fare choose the Blackened Salmon Salad or the Tuscany Salad. The menu varies with the seasons but some of the delectable entrées include such specialties as Mediterranean Tilapia, Smothered Pepper Jack Sirloin Steak and Baked Haddock Florentine. Don't leave without dessert: the Triple Chocolate Truffle Tower and the Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce are incredible!
